A Little More...

I am an English teacher who believes that teaching English extends far beyond commas and grammar. A good English education can help student learn not just to read the word on the page, but to read the world that they live in.
My classroom will be an environment where students are encouraged to explore and create, pushing themselves beyond what they think they are capable of.
I believe in using a wide variety of texts in my classroom including: Novels, biographies and other non-fiction works, movies, internet videos, music, newspapers, magazines, art, maps, blogs, poetry, and many more. By using diverse texts I hope that each individual student will find at least one text they truly relate to.
